Koh Ra Ecolodge

Great HornbillThe Koh Ra Ecolodge is run by Sirikanjana Chantakian (“Awe”) and Lory Fallador, two ladies with roots in the East and the West, who love nature and community and support the vision of "ecolodge" or "ecoresort" sustainability in Thailand.  Awe is from Thailand; Lory is from Italy.  Together they will introduce you the island, its lifestyle and inhabitants, the people, animals and plants, that they love and cherish.  If you are looking for a quiet but friendly place that will enable you to enjoy tropical nature at its purest with people who care for the environment and have fun doing so, then you'll be welcomed.

Founded as part of the Reef Check Project  a few years back, the Ecolodge offers simple, but comfortable accommodations that will appeal to those who love living in harmony with nature.  Built from natural materials with as little effect on the jungle as possible, they have space for single travelers, couples, families and groups.  Rooms, suites and bungalows are available, all close to the beach, and cooled by the jungle.

The food offered to guests is both carefully chosen and also carefully prepared with a mind toward health, ecology and taste.  Guests regularly comment on how much they enjoy the food on Koh Ra.    The cuisine is a fusion of local Thai styles and healthy western; vegetarians will feel welcomed (just remember to mention your food needs when you book).
